  • SGA is a young company, however it was founded around a core-team of three experienced engineers with diverse backgrounds, cumulated experience of more than 65 years, and a proven 8 year joint track record that includes several successful projects.

    • Alex is an accomplished engineer, with over 17 years of hands-on experience in numerous projects in Africa and Europe at key positions, giving Alex unique know-how in SGA’s field of service.

    • Alex is a Civil Engineer (Structures), with a Bachelor (Hon) Degree in Railroads, Roads and Bridges and a Master’s Degree in Art Works Engineering from the Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest and currently completing a Master’s of Business and Engineering Degree at the University of Stuttgart. He is a member of AICPS Romania, ARIC Romania and MCIARB.

    • In addition, Alex has participated in several courses and trainings on FIDIC contracts, EDF contracts, Construction Adjudication.

      • Project Manager, Modjo – Hawasa Highway Project Lot3, Ethiopia Roads Authority with World Bank funding, D&B Ethiopian National Contract (EPC): 57km, 2 interchanges, 2 bridges, 35 Overpasses & Underpasses, box culverts, heavy earthworks, asphalt, ITS, Toll stations, erection of quarry and crushing etc. ~ 150mil.USD. In charge of construction, management, planning, resource allocation, contract management, Contractor’s Representative, budget analysis, preparation of claims and disputes, coordination etc.

      • Project Coordinator, Mikumi-Ifakara Road upgrade, Tanzania Ministry of Finance with EU funding, EDF contract (European Development Fund): 67 km, 4 bridges, 34 box culverts, asphalt, stabilisation, piles, heavy earthworks. ~55mil.Euro. Contract coordination, technical and contractual supervision, detailed drawings as part of contractual obligation, construction, logistics, planning, cost and budget analysis, preparation of claims and disputes, etc.
